One of our favorite places to go in the summer is the Montreat swimming hole. It's a hidden gem only minutes from our house. After walking down a winding trail you come to a open space in the rhododendrons. The creek is wider here and the water deeper. It's a perfect place to cool off in the summer.
When I say cool off, I mean it. This water is frigid.

Grady brought Emma into the deeper water. She promptly ran out.
"What kind of jump should we do"?
Emma and I can't handle the cold water.
We picked up a "dog" along the walk home.
She insisted on carrying a stick in her mouth and crawling down the trail. Nothing is fast with a three year old....nothing. Well, except when she is running away from me.
