We met up with Tori and Jake, Emma's biological brother, at the Nature Center. They are moving to Florida and we wanted to catch up before they leave the area. It is so wonderful to have Tori to talk to about the kids and adoption in general. We both have the same concerns and questions. I love hearing her side of things and bouncing questions off her.
It's so fun to hear how similar and different Emma and Jake are. They are biological siblings but growing up in different families. Jake is quiet, calm and introverted. Emma is exactly the opposite. She is all fire and speed. It warms my heart seeing them play together. Poor little Jake did his best to keep up.
We will always stay in touch, of that I have no doubt. We are family.
Tori is an amazing woman. Single mom, kind, compassionate, loving, an activist, intelligent and an all around wonderful person.
We will miss you, Tori and Jake.
