Flying Scala Boys

The boys absolutely love when Josh throws them up in the air. I have a heart attack every time I watch my precious babies being hurled towards the ceiling. They laugh and want him to do it over and over. Whatever makes them happy....

I scream, you scream....

...we all scream for ICE CREAM!! Josh gave Myles a bite of mint chocolate chip ice cream the other night. Man, he sure loved it! He doesn't talk much but you can tell what he likes and dislikes. I think Grady talks too much and the poor kid can't get a word in. One word he sure knows is "MAMA!!" I hear that one shouted at least 100 times a day.

Here is a clip of Moo enjoying a tasty treat.

Mimi!!!

Grady was so happy that his Mimi came to visit us this past weekend. My dad was on his way to Mississippi and dropped my mom off to stay with us. It was great having her around as she and Grady are great friends. They are definitely kindred spirits. She kept him busy the entire time. Thanks, Mom!!
It was nice to see Papaw too, if only for a few hours.

Mimi and Grady doing some artwork. Most of the time he was jumping all over her but I caught a rare moment of him sitting still.

Mimi read him stories on the sofa until he passed out. Here he is, dead asleep!

S'mores

We had a nasty, rainy weekend in Black Mountain. It finally warmed up but it decided to rain instead of snow. To add a little excitement to the very dull weekend, we made s'mores in our wood stove. Nothing like a gooey, sweet, sticky s'more for dessert. Now, Grady wants to go camping and make them in a real fire.

They boys loved to watch dad put the marshmallow in the fire.

Myles just got some graham crackers. I don't think an 11 month old should eat marshmallows before bed. He would probably be up all night....and so would I!!

Way to roast those marshmallow, Dad. It took a few tries but he finally got it perfect.

Testing out the final product. YUM!!

The Fish Tank

The only thing Grady asked for for Christmas this year was a fish tank. So, of course, Santa left one in Black Mountain for him. We wrapped up some fish tank items and put them under the tree at Mimi and Papaw's house. He was so excited to come home and open up his very own fish tank. We told him that he had to take care of his new pets and he declared that, "they were not pets because they did not have any fur." Ok, whatever you say...

Giving the fish tank two thumbs up
