Love Letters

Grady has begun a beautiful friendship with a sweet girl in his class, Emily.  They have been trying to keep in touch over the summer.  Emily's mom called me a few weeks ago and asked if he could go to the movies with Emily.  I thought nothing of it but apparently to her it was a "date".  She showed up with a pretty dress and bow in her hair.  Grady was wearing a dirty, neon orange tank top and gym shorts.  Josh said he busted out laughing when Emily got out of the truck and he looked at his clothes.
They went to the movies and Emily's mom, Dianne, sat a few rows behind them (how cute!).  Later they went out for pizza and ice cream.
After the date, an adorable letter arrived in the mail.  Grady was so excited.  I thought I was going to have to tell him to write her back but he immediately found a paper and pen.  This is highly unusual as I have to beg for him to do anything involving writing.
I just love this friendship.

Emily's letter: "Dear Grady, Thing's are going well here.  How are you? I am well.  I've been thinking if I get married to you I'd have to be Mile's sister-in-law.  I can't bear to be with him (insert angry face).
I would like to go on the boat.  Last Saturday was great! Thanks! Sincerely, Emily
Oh! P.S. Write me back! :)"

Grady's response: " Dear Emil, Thanks for the letter I loved it. You will come on our boat next time we go out. Yes our date night was fun I will do it again.  Did you just wright that then mail it?  Do you know Lake James? that's where we boat.  Oh, yes. things are going well here.  We have 1-2 weeks till the house is done.  When its done you can hang out here.  Oh. Before I forget I think Myles will get better over the years and when we get married he will be good.  From Grady.
PS Wright me back if you get a chance.
Oh P.P.S. Lake James is down the mountain 30-45 min away
Stuff, stuff and more stuff.

Grady hung her letter on the fridge.
