After Pittsburgh, the kids and I headed east to Virginia while Josh went south to NC. It was a billion degrees in Virginia so we weren't as active we usually are when we visit. I just couldn't bring myself to bring them into DC, by myself, in the blazing heat. So, we just chilled around the house for most of the vacation.
The drive was pretty uneventful

Emma found Mimi's makeup. She was fascinated as I don't own one bit of makeup.
She applied it daily
Papaw was nice enough to come with me to the Marine Corps Museum or as I named it, the Museum of Death.
The museum was well done but being a pacifist, I had a hard time with all the war.
Of course, there was a lot of crazy time with Mimi
Papaw took the boys out on his hunting property. They found a box turtle.

Up in a deer stand. They really want Papaw to take them hunting but I'm pretty sure they would talk the entire time and scare all the deer.
