A Walk in the Woods

Yesterday, I met my good friend, Kelly, and her son, Grayson at South Mountains State Park. I have only been back there a few times since I quite working and it was great to visit again. We took the boys on a little hike. Kelly and I tried to catch up as the boys ran wild. It's hard to talk when you are chasing kids around but we did our best. I think most of our conversations ended in the middle and never resumed. Such is motherhood.....

It was great to see some of the guys I use to work with. Not much has changed. It's still a beautiful park and hardly a soul there. I love that place!

Kelly took some great pictures of the boys. She has a sweet camera....and it doesn't hurt that she is a talented photographer.

Grady showing Myles a ladybug

Myles just had a chocolate cookie...can you tell?

Grady the "bat"

We stopped for lunch.

Kelly and Grayson. He is such a wonderful baby. He's three months and sleeping through the night...amazing! Kelly you are a awesome mom.

Myles and Lance. Getting some ranger time in.

What's up with boys and sticks?

Grady giving Myles some pointers on peeing in the woods. I can only imagine what this conversation entailed. It looks pretty serious and ended with G screaming, "Myles drank my Pee!!" Okay, not sure what happened. I didn't see any pee drinking but who knows???!!

What is up with this pose?

Myles had to join in with big bro.

The boys and Fitz, one of my favorite people in the entire world.

The boys wouldn't get out of this thing. When I asked Grady if he liked hiking in the park he said, "yeah, it was fun but I really liked playing in the little car".

  2. Kat, you're too nice! I love taking pictures of the boys- they are too cute and hilarious not to be snapping away the whole time (in between our attempts at conversation). As always it was good to visit. I wish I didn't have to go back to work so we could hang out more! I love the picture you took of Myles and his serious face. Glad you could document the whole pee thing too :) I had to tell Steven when I got home- too funny! Boys are hilarious!
