Finally! I'm not the only 40 year old in the house. Happy 40th to Josh. How in the world are we in our 40s? It just doesn't seem right.
The kids helped me make an ice cream cake. It had to be dairy and gluten free so Emma could eat it. You can only imagine what it tasted like.
Emma really wanted to add her "7" candle
Mimi came into town to watch the kids so Josh and I could escape for a night. We went up to Georgia's wine country. We hit 3 vineyards and by 5 0'clock, I had enough wine for a week! I thought I had the whole weekend planned. We arrived at our hotel after the vineyards. Guess what? I book for the wrong night! Every hotel was booked!! So, I guess planning is not my forte and I should never do it again.
We had to drive 20 minutes until we found this gem of a motel (note the sarcasm).
The only room left was the "safari room". Haha!
Wild animals, African masks and fake safari garb decorated the walls. It was hilarious. This is what Josh gets for marrying me. It might not be right, but it's always interesting.
This is what Mimi looked like when we came home.
Emma got a hold of her.
At least she's still smiling
