Another birthday rolled around, #39. One year closer to the big 4.0. I have to say, this wasn't the best birthday. Well, it's awesome to be alive, healthy and have an amazing family BUT this day wasn't stellar. I woke up and Emma was up before I had my coffee (strike one...I need coffee to handle this girl). Myles spilled his cereal all over the couch, I cried, Josh screamed, Myles cried. Josh took his Kindle and put it on the ladder where it proceeded to bounce down every wrung and smash onto the concrete floor. Keep in mind, I still hadn't had my coffee.
Later that morning, my car broke down. Emma peed her pants on purpose a few times just to piss me off. We went out to dinner and it was one of those dinners. The kids wouldn't sit down, running around, yelling. At one point I turned to the 20-somethings that were sipping their beer behind us and apologized. I told the ladies it was "a little birth control" for them.
Sorry to be a Debbie Downer! Anyway, all is right with the world. Crappy days happen but things always turn around. I am grateful.
Walking along the highway when our car broke down.
This was after a mile of a bossy 35 pound toddler on my back yelling, "watch out for cars, don't step in the puddle, give me a stick, LOOK AT THE BIRD!"
Later that evening I had a beer....a few birthday beers
This elf tried to make me mad by taking it.
Although she pees herself on purpose to upset me, she's still pretty awesome.
Her cat thinks so too
Boys in a bucket
Caesar loves Myles too
Sweet outfit
Ripping out the flags that say where buried gas lines are located.
