Grandad's Apples

Saturday was a beautiful day for apple picking.  North Carolina is the 7th largest apple producer in the nation.  Henderson County, one county over from us, is known as the best place for apple picking.  When I think of apple picking, I think of Grandad's Apples.  It's a local orchard that is fun for the whole family.  We picked a peck of apples and ate about 10 as we hiked around the orchard.  We enjoyed the wonderful weather and the sweet, juicy apples.

Welcome to Grandad's

Ready to pick some apples.

Grabbing a Golden Delicious.

Dad and Myles checking out the pond.  Josh was dreaming of owning his own orchard.....

Myles was a great apple picker

What better than an apple slushie to finish off a great day at the orchard.
