We are definitely living through one of the weirdest, most memorable times in my life. There are so many unknowns, even in my own household. I captured a few of the moments as we quarantined at home. It hasn't all be fun and games. There have been a lot of meltdowns and battles but we are making it through.
It was so strange to go to the grocery store and see the isles of sold out toilet paper, cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer.
I had to lay down the law on video games.....until I gave up.
Gas prices began to drop. I though this was low at the time. I think the lowest I got was $1.35.
The day before quarantine started, we were at a party. Not thinking much about COVID. I didn't think it would be as deadly as it became. This was the last social gathering we have been to in two months.
Happy Birthday, Alice. At least you got your party in!
The boys swam in the pond in the middle of March. Burr
They camped out. One last time with friends
Then we got the dreaded call......school was cancelled for 2 weeks. I freaked out. I can't home school!! And that's when it was only supposed to be 2 weeks.
I attempted to make a schedule for Emma. I thought it would be helpful. We followed it for about 2 days when I realized it was stressing her out.
This crazy girl and I have spent a lot of time together.
Story time. I think this counts as school....
Then she practiced some home ec and gave herself a horrible haircut. (not the first during quarantine)
I think this is PE???
Then she wanted a bath, in her bathing suit, by candle light
The boys started baking. This is root beer pie
I hate orbies!! Who ever made them should be shot
I went to school the following week to pick up their school work. It was so strange seeing the empty halls and signs from their teachers.
Emma had to go on a lot of car rides to calm down. We started a new medicine and it has helped.
"I love my teachers"- To Mis Kat
Washing some dishes.
This was before playground closed.
Then we had to take it to the swimming holes
It was so cold, Myles was pink
Miss Sassy Pants
We have been spending a lot of time at the lake
This was the earliest we have gotten out on the lake. March!
Look at that face!
The best pooch in the entire world. Yes, I have a favorite
I don't know what we would have done without our land. We camped, played, rode dirt bikes, grilled and hung out away from everyone.
A few cool pics of our tiny house
The boys tried to make Orange Chicken. It was gross.
More lake time
I couldn't find hamburger buns at the store. Here's the burger dog.
There has been a lot of trampoline time
Grady and Josh perfected the rib
"Smells like woodpeckers"
The tiny house
Sheri dropped off some sewing activity for Emma to do
This lasted about 5 minutes
Myles finished it
Grady learned how to wakeboard
Josh and Grady fixed the chicken coop and we got 8 chicks
Josh took the boys fishing. I decided to take them this time.
Lake Susan in Montreat
Myles caught a tree
Grady caught Myles
We were not successful
Grady and Josh out on the John boat
Because they were fishing. Emma and I had to fish in the basement
Homework at the land
Having a birthday during quarantine isn't the greatest but Will and Leia sent me this. It made the day just a little more special.
Look at those beggars
Yup, she's special
Josh took this picture because it was 12:30, I was still in my jimmies and my face is priceless. Sums up quarantine with 3 kids.
Playing with filters on my phone
It's been a long month.......
