My college roommates, Kristy and Lisa, and I have started getting together once a year. It is always such a blast. This year we journeyed to Charleston, SC. Lisa is a travel planner extraordinaire and had everything planned and booked. Not being one who plans anything, this is such a breath of fresh air. We had brunch, checked out swanky restaurants, cool bars and even brushed up on our Civil War history with a walking tour. As always, it was so much fun to catch up and get in tuned with our old college selves.
Checking into the French Quarter Inn. Champagne was offered during check in. Not some place we would take the kids :)
Drinks that night were a little less classy.
We went back to the check in desk for one more glass as Lisa made friends with the desk guy.
What goes well with champagne? M & Ms
This hotel was amazing. We had chocolates on our bedside tables at night.
We went to Halls for a gospel brunch
More champagne....don't mind if I do.
Gospel singers put on a show as we ate an amazing brunch
We made some friends. Yes, I was old enough to be their mother (part of the joke here). We were feeling a little old.
Trying to get home
The next day, Kristy and Lisa took a nap while I headed out to walk around the city.
I couldn't resist the M & M's offered by the hotel.
The next night.....a rickshaw ride
More fancy drinks
Waiting for the Civil War tour to begin. See we did more than eat and drink!
I miss you girls already and can't wait until next year.
