Emma's First Haircut

Emma's hair was getting ridiculously long.  She never wanted me to brush it and wouldn't let me put it up.  It was time for a haircut.  Just as she didn't like me doing anything with her hair, she didn't like the hair stylist touching it either.  Made for a rough experience.

Before.  As you can see, it was long.  Much too long.

Getting ready to get a haircut

This is the only photo I got of the actual cut because I had to be very involved in the process.  First Emma sat in the haircutting chair, then the desk chair, then in the hair dressers lap, then my lap, then on the counter.  At one point the hair dresser said to me, "these scissors are as sharp as a butchers knife.  If you don't hold her head still, I will cut off my fingers".  Ummm, okay.  It was horrible and we left without it being finished.  I didn't care, it looked even to me.

The result

Emma didn't care one way or another.  She's not the kind of girl that cares about her hair.

Reading to "brown baby"

I think the haircut is cute but we won't be going back any time soon.
