The Lot

I can't remember if I have written about our lot yet.  In July of 2013 we put an offer on an acre of land two streets over from our house.  My mom purchased one 1/2 acre and we have the other.  It took a year to close on the land as there were major title issues.  Last July we closed on the property.  In November, Josh had the trees cut down on 1/4 of the land.  He milled the wood and we are going to use it on the house.  It was so hard to see those beautiful mature trees cut down but at least we can use them.  

There is plenty of sawdust or "sand" as Emma calls it

We got about 3000 board feet of milled wood
