Happy Rainy 4th of July. We didn't let the rain get us down too much. We managed to be in a parade and light a few fireworks. Granted, were weren't barbecuing and running around with sparklers but we made the most of it.
We have had rain everyday for over a week. I have to say, I am over it. It would have been nice for the clouds to part for our countrys Independence day but that wasn't the case.
I serve on the Montreat Landcare Committee and was asked to be the "bear" in the parade. Since everyone else in the the committee is 70 years old or older, I took one for the team and said I would wear the costume.
Josh and the kids were in the parade as well. They loved it and didn't mind a few raindrops.
Getting ready for the parade to start.
Even though it was in the 60's, that costume was HOT
Josh and the boys got to ride in a $90,000 car. It was an all electric Tesla. Talk about fancy.
My professor, Dottie, was the bear handler. I couldn't see a thing with that head on.
How pathetic....Setting fire crackers off in the pouring rain.
Can you see the few measly sparks?
