I started working with an after school program teaching environmental education at the beginning of the school year. I was approached by the director who wanted to add to her art based program. She knew I taught envrio ed at Chimney Rock and thought I would be a good addition to her team.
I have loved working at Art in the Afternoon. The create amazing works and are such loving teachers.
At the end of the year they display all of the kid's art work at the Black Mountain library. It is quite the show. Seeing all of their work in one room is breath taking. See for yourself......
They reuse materials for most of their art work. This is why my enviro ed lessons fit in so well.
