Ahhh....Spring Break! We really needed it this year. The boys and I packed up the van and headed to Virginia. Unfortunately, Josh couldn't make it this time as he had to work. We had a great time visiting Mimi, Papaw and Uncle Will. I apologize for all of the pictures, but we did so many fun things that I am overloaded with photos. Thanks for everything, Mom and Dad. We had a blast.
Our first day there we dyed Easter eggs.
Myles liked the method of dye one then eat one. Notice his mouth is full of egg.
The boys and I made the usual rounds of the museums in DC. Here they are at the Air and Space Museum.
Check out how many people were there. I think all of America had the same Spring Break. It was insane. We are never going to the museums during this time again.
Uncle Will took off a half a day and met us at a DC park. The boys made some friends along the way. Have I mentioned that they have never met a stranger?
We had the best time playing at Brooke's house. Brooke and I have been friends since elementary school and continue to be close. It's great to see our kids playing together.
She even has her own bouncy house. I think the boys want to move in with her.
Mimi and I took the boys to one of the best playgrounds I have ever seen (and I'm quite the expert on playgrounds). I heard about it after reading an article on Yahoo, "The Top 5 Parks in America". One of them happened to be in Fairfax County where my folks live.
It was created for disabled and non-disabled kids to play along side each other.
Mimi signed the boys up for an Easter egg hunt by her house. Myles wouldn't leave the house without wearing Mimi's hat.
Myles took these games seriously. Look at those skills.
Still out for blood. He was going to get those eggs.
Of course we celebrated my birthday with a birthday doughnut. Who wants cake when you can have a doughnut?
Easter Egg Hunt #3 in Mimi's garden.
Papaw took the boys on ATV rides every day. The neighbor even joined in the action.
But one of their favorite thing they did was play on the mountain of mulch. They were lucky enough that Mimi had a big pile delivered while we were there.
