Mississippi

While it was a sad event that brought us to Mississippi, it was great to see family. I know my Aunt Bettye would have loved to have seen us all together. We tried to celebrate her life instead of mourning her passing. I believe she would have wanted it that way. She was always a positive, uplifting person.

The boys finally got to meet their cousins. Between me and my three cousins there are 7 kids under the age of 3. Grady is the oldest and the youngest, Logan, was born in December. It was great to watch all the kids play together. Needless to say, my Aunt and Uncle's house was FULL of great toys to play with. They live on the farm where my dad grew up, so no shortage of space for them to run. The weather was great and we tried to stay outside as much as possible. The highlight of Grady's trip was getting to ride the tractor with Uncle Mark. What a treat for a 2 year old boy!!!

Myles loved all the toys and enjoyed getting outside.

There is some Mississippi in this boy. He loved Uncle Mark's turkey calls. The other night he was talking in his sleep saying, "turkey call, turkey call".

We stopped by to see my Papaw. He got to meet the boys for the first time.

  1. I'm so sorry that such a sad event brought you South, but it was probably nice to have a family get-together. Great pictures of the boys...I just can't believe Myles. He is growing tooooo fast. Give them a hug for me.
